Bold swaths is a new approach to style for men. It’s painfully obvious to me that most guys don’t want girls, stodgy old men, or super rich new york kids telling them what to wear. They just want some suggestions from a guy who’s reasonable about things; who doesn’t think that it’s ok to pay $200 for a t-shirt.
So I’m committed to making sure the items that appear on bold swaths are (a) bold – i gotta live up to the name, you know and (b) affordable – now that doesn’t mean cheap, at least not all the time.; but it does mean that unlike GQ, Cargo and most the blogs I’ve seen, i’m not going to post $650 pants and such. You’ve got better things to do with your money. Like wear nice clothes on dates; or spend it on new pipes for your motorcycle.

I commend the effort to point us toward affordable fashion, but so far the effort seems a little sporty. Printed T-shirts? Vans? Desert boots printed with woodgrain? I don’t wear that stuff…
Maybe at the beach, out of sight.
You should mix in some grown-up stuff that can be worn in the city by men over 35.
